Glint Bangles - Ray of light

Here are some more aluminum bangles to add to this week's creations.  They are like the green glint earrings and necklace from last week however, the glint in these cases, is dark rather than light.

I wonder if there is a different word from glint meaning a "ray of dark" instead of a "ray of light"!!!

As you may be able to tell, I'm enjoying finding a little time to make progress on the color anodized aluminum.

What do you think?  What is your favorite color? I have a few more bangles to show you on Thursday too.... yes, now I've started, I can't stop!!!

Just love the aluminum bangles you are creating. I really like the contemporary feel of this "glint" series! The colors are lovely. I'm particularly drawn to the design you have created on the mauve one. Beautiful work!
Can't wait to see more!

Lovely! I'm wondering how you are forging the bangles? They are nice and uniform with the slight concave form....I get how you would do the bracelet form, but the concave seems harder without a hydraulic press??? Do tell.....

Thanks sweeties. Glad you like them. I do too! I bought a synclastic former to create the bangles with Sue. I had just done a regular bangle shape before, but liked the idea of adding another curve to it. Keep wondering about anticlastic too....maybe down the line...

The bangles you are making are really great. I especially like the added curve from the synclastic former. What is aluminum like to work with? Does it work harden like other metals?

Thanks Barbara. Yes, I'm pleased with adding the synclastic curve too. Think it finishes them off better. Aluminum work hardens easily - the forming action does it well.
