Here's this week's things that I am grateful for - my bird in the hand:

- My friend Chloe. She's here staying with us this weekend, along with her parents and we are having such a great time! Let's get together more often :-D
- A good week of sales. It's nice to get home and have sales coming in from Dawanda, Etsy and my own site, all within the first week.
- Getting back into singing.
- The glorious weather here in northern CA.
- Catching up with friends I haven't seen in 7 weeks.
- Daffodils. Our daffodils just started to bloom this week. What a lovely bright yellow they are.
- Hiking with friends in the redwoods and seeing all the wild flowers especially the trillium.
- Seeing a covey of quail - yes Quentin and his buddies - in the garden most days.
- Seeing a great flock of killdeer in the garden one day ( killdeer get their name from their call, not that they kill deer!).
- The bluebirds are back in the vineyard.
Are you seeing birds and flowers that get you into the mood for spring?

the hedge is getting small flowers and the balckbirds and woodpigeons in the field and of course: the sun!! love, riet:)
Here in holland it's not so warm to have daffodils, but in the lawn are crocuses just peepin out of the grass. So we have made a start into spring. Lets hope that the cold is not coming back. Hugzz...Peebee
...and in Waterloo...the forecast is for more snow next week. Oh boy.... but I'm glad you are experiencing spring though...it brings a smile to my face to imagine flowers blooming, quail covies, bluebirds, and warm sunshine at Birdland. Enjoy!
Sounds like 2 out of three of you are getting spring like! Looks like you'll have to keep snuggling up near the fire Marly for a few more weeks until your snow disappears.
I love crocuses in the lawn! Always such a pretty sight Peebee.
We've had lovely sunshine every day since we got home but from tomorrow onwards, it's forecast to get chilly and rainy again for a few days. Can't complain - as it is February!!!
