Feed the Birds

Remember the song from Mary Poppins:

Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag......

All around the cathedral the saints and apostles

Look down as she sells her wares.

Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling

Each time someone shows that he cares.

Though her words are simple and few,

Listen, listen, she's calling to you:
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,

Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag."

I remember trying to sing it when I was a little girl - but it was so low - my voice couldn't reach all those low notes...... I always used to love that song though -especially when we'd go out somewhere and see all the birds sitting around waiting for food......

And now my latest necklace gives you a chance to always feed the birds!

It shows two little hand-crafted birds on a birdfeeder....and inside the birdfeeder is real birdseed! Following on from the birdies breakfast necklace - this one takes it a step further with the actual seed inside the glass feeder!

And the extra benefit is that if you are ever out and about and you come across some birds who are hungry and wanting for food - with this necklace, you can burst into song, unscrew the top and you have an emergency supply of bird seed to sprinkle in your hand for them to feed on!

A "feed the birds" necklace that really lets you feed the birds.

Hope you like it and it makes you sing the song (if your voice is low enough!).

OMG You're so creative and clever! I love this little feeder. I'd hang it in the window to make the pigeons jealous. ;-)

Thanks for the encouragement! Like your idea Lora - I feel tempted to put it outside and see if any birds notice! - but then they'll get frustrated by not being able to get to the seed! Have to be nice to all our birdie friends.
