A gift that gives twice

It's been great to see that I've had quite a few sales through the non-profit group Nest this season. When someone buys through their site, not only are they buying a gift for someone (or themselves), but the artist also donates a proportion of the sales money to Nest - so it becomes a gift that gives twice! The buyer can also add their own donation to Nest at the same time as well.


Nest's Mission is to : empower female artists and artisans around the world. Using a unique combination of interest-free microfinance loans, mentoring from established designers, as well as a market in which to sell their crafts, Nest helps its loan recipients create successful small businesses. Nest instills pride of ownership, preserves ancient artistic traditions and successfully moves women from poverty to self-sufficiency.


On the Nest site you can buy clothing, jewelry, items for the home, bags, bath and body, etc, etc. from artisans from all over the world.
