The Three Little Pigs got out!

This month, my Three Little Pigs necklace and earrings set are in the Lapidary Journal - Jewelry Artist (March 2009)!

They won a prize in the Fire Mountain Gems competition last year and so appear in one of their full page advertisements. You know the story of the three little pigs....one tried to build his house of straw, but the wolf huffed and puffed and blew it down. Another tried to build his house of sticks, but the wolf huffed and puffed and blew that one down too. But the third piggy built his house of bricks and the wolf couldn't blow it down.

If you look at the earrings which are the straw and sticks houses, the little piggies have sad faces - but the necklace with the brick house, the piggy has a big smile and welcomes in his brothers! Check out their tiny little trotters too, and curly tails! Each one is individual.

Nice to see my creations in print! Good old piggies. I used to collect pigs when I was a little girl - used to love them and would take so many photos when I'd see piglets.

I had this set up for sale for a while - but when it won the competition, I decided I wanted it! So now it's mine to enjoy! Always meant to make a wolf for the back clasp so maybe I'll get around to it now......

It's such a nice page in person! Congrats. Nice tearsheet to fame.

I think wolfie should be a brooch, out in front, huffing and puffing for all to see. And fear.

LOL. Congrats to you and the Piggies. Your so great.

Wanna know something funny. I have the same story about a pair of earrings I made years ago. I love these earrings and refuse to sell them. I just use them for display for one of my jewelry groups.

Hope you make the wolf one day :)
