It's been a while since I embedded a little YouTube video and I just came across this one about the Lyre bird. My pet parrot Harold got quite excited listening to it - hope you enjoy it too. I love the "camera shutter" part... And all these sounds, to attract a female! I hope she appreciated it.

COOL bird! I thought the Bower bird was the most fascinating bird I had heard of but this one might even be more amazing - an impersonator of sounds! Thanks for sharing - my kids will love this!

I love David Attenborough. And that shutter is amazing. I heard a little R2D2 at the beginning as well. Funny sounds from such a gorgeous bird.
Isn't it great that this isn't some trained bird -but he just goes around picking up noises all around him. Glad you enjoyed listening to him!
