Paw prints in the studio!

Look who's been padding around in my studio today....

Yes, a little cat! Walking all over my metal clay......so I thought I might as well make some cufflinks out of her little pawprints :=D

Cat paw cuff links! Perfect for cat lovers - either ladies or men!

We are bottling our 2007 wine tomorrow. Four friends are helping us...hope they are feeling strong to lug all those cases around, full of wine! Fingers crossed it goes smoothly and doesn't all spill or something ......

Play a little, care a little - ladies cufflinks

Going back to my "remember the little things" bracelet that I made a while ago, I have now done some cufflinks for ladies with the little birdies reminding us to "play a little and care a little".

The cufflinks can be made from any two "little things" that were in the bracelet, such as : stop a little; entertain a little; indulge a little; celebrate a little; care a little; work a little; pamper a little; love a little; play a little. These are shown below in the bracelet below.

Sweet little reminders of the important things in life ;-D

Which two would you choose as your favorites?

Blue eyes - ladies cufflinks

My latest ladies' cufflinks - my little birdies with bright blue eyes.

The eyes are lab created spinel cabachons, in a nice light blue shade.... .Makes you want to sing Frank Sinatra or Elton John or ...who was it who wrote "don't it make my brown eyes blue"?

I see Talbots have just come out with new cuff shirts......I tell you - you'll be needing cufflinks sooner than you thought!

And yes - guys can wear them too - especially delightful for bird watchers/twitchers ...or maybe even twitters?????

PS Yes, I have blue eyes. What color are yours?

There's no place like home

I have been making some house pieces for a Realtor - some earrings, a pin and necklace and so while I was at it, I thought I'd make some cuff links to add to my new ladies cufflinks line.

They are the simple house design you may have seen in my other pieces and I think they work well for cufflinks..... They could also be worn my men ....and I definitely don't want to exclude men from the cufflink scene!

I bought myself a couple of french cuff shirts last week from the outlets. There were quite a few to choose from but I got mine from Brooks Brothers. I've never shopped there before but in addition to their usual discounted prices, they had an extra 50% off! They had such a good selection - different styles, different colors, plain, striped.....

I was surprised to see Chico's selling two shirts for cufflinks too...... I tell you, if these kinds of stores are selling the shirts...then ladies cufflinks will be "hot" for Christmas presents! So put them on your list.

I'll be making more next week.... a few ideas in my head......

Ladies cufflinks - Time to Bloom

I'm starting a new line of ladies cuff links. It'll be an unusual gift for people to give at Christmas and other occasions, maybe combining it with a french cuff shirt. A new style of jewelry to make a change....Here's a pair entitled "Time to Bloom"

In the corporate world, women are wearing suits so why not add a touch of femininity and individuality and add cufflinks to the ensemble. With a well fitted shirt, there is nothing to complement it more than a pair of cufflinks.

But cuff links are not just for the office either. They can be worn with silk blouses, or tailored shirts for an evening out - or just with a shirt and a pair of jeans.

And while many men's cufflinks are unisex, having a range designed for women will offer a more feminine look and with my whimsical designs - maybe a touch of playfulness too.

To find a suitable shirt, it's best to look for a french cuff, as this provides better support for the cufflink. You can find shirts for cufflinks in the US at Chico's, Liz Claiborne, Jones New York, Brooks Brothers, Nordstram and others or else google "french cuff women's shirt", you'll find quite a few in different price ranges.

I'll be building my line of women's cufflinks (and not excluding men either) and of course, can do custom designs too.... I look forward to seeing your cuffs suitably adorned!
