You are the cat's whiskers

You don't hear the phrase "the cat's whiskers" much any more, but it means something is outstanding.

I made these little cat earrings and necklace for a new customer a couple of weeks ago.  She only wanted the earrings, but ended up have the necklace too!

They are happy jiggly cats who wiggle their legs as you wear them.

And yes, they have little tails too:

Hand sculpted in silver, designed to make you smile :-D

Paw prints in the studio!

Look who's been padding around in my studio today....

Yes, a little cat! Walking all over my metal clay......so I thought I might as well make some cufflinks out of her little pawprints :=D

Cat paw cuff links! Perfect for cat lovers - either ladies or men!

We are bottling our 2007 wine tomorrow. Four friends are helping us...hope they are feeling strong to lug all those cases around, full of wine! Fingers crossed it goes smoothly and doesn't all spill or something ......

Not for cat lovers!

I just started my day laughing at this video! Hope it doesn't offend anyone! Give it a whirl. It'll start - or end your day off with a giggle!!!

The people who did the video said they did it for publicity to find homes for all the kittens. The "love taps" are gentle and don't hurt the kittens!

(and for those of you who know how much I love patting cats on the head - you'll appreciate why this appeals to me so much!)

Gift from the cat

I was recently approached by a cat to do a commission piece for her owner! She wanted me to make her "mum" some cuff-links with her paw prints on them. So we discussed the idea.....found that she also wanted her name on them - and so I came up with some birthday cuff-links for her mum! Hope mummy likes them. Here they are:

How lovely to have cufflinks for women. I think I need to pursue this more...... Let's get those shirts out ladies and get some cool cuff-links in them! If a cat can start this trend - anyone can do it!

PS No cat was injured in the manufacture of these cuff links - and she didn't even get clay in her pads!!!! :0D

"just for you"

Well, as I mentioned yesterday, I haven't been showing any new pieces for a little while, as alot of them are Xmas gifts for people and so I don't want to ruin the Christmas surprise!

However, I heard from one of my friends today thanking me for her gift! She had opened it already!!!! It arrived today and she opened it! Gosh - what happened to 25th December???!!!!! :-D

Well, I guess I may as well show it to you now!!!!

Here is "just for you" that I made for her:
She has a cat called Dickie and he loves to bring her little presents - dead birds or other creatures from his haunt. Well, I could hardly make a piece with a dead bird in it - so I made a little cat who has caught a mouse and is holding it under his paw - ready to give it to you - "just for you"!!!

My friend doesn't wear jewelry as she reacts to quite a lot of different metals so this little guy is a desk buddy for her. I suspect he may well sit on her computer to keep warm!!! Cats always know how to find the best spots!
