Sunshiny days

We had a sunny day!!! Yippee!  Yes, it's been a little grey and rainy here in England but our final day was warm and sunny.  There we were, out in only shirt sleeves! No jackets or raincoats or sweaters....We had a lovely day in Broadway, doing a bit of shopping. Broadway is such a pretty Cotswold town - so picturesque.

But we fly back to California today after a busy couple of weeks. It's been a great trip and we've enjoyed all our visiting and catching up.

We're not sure whether we'll be flying back to sunshine as it's been drizzly in CA recently too!  Maybe my sunshiny bangle will help bring the sunshine out? What do you think? I showed you the pink and blue ones last week and this is the third in the summery series.

The three different colors make me think of a sweetie shop....quite mouth watering. What do you reckon?

Sunshine in the rain

It's been a rainy grey day here today...but when I came back from the city, I was greeted by the sunshine yellow of our patch of daffodils just by the gate, smiling at me!  A little bit of sunshine in the rain.

How happy that lovely yellow color is.:-D

YOU are my sunshine

Every morning around breakfast time, I sing the first verse of "you are my sunshine". I sing it to (actually WITH) Harold, my pet parrot. It's his favorite song and he loves to join in. And he is my sunshine. Whatever day it is, whatever has happened, he is always my sunshine and can brighten my day.


A few years ago I made a brooch of the song for myself. It's a similar design to this new necklace but not sculpted. Then the other day I thought that my little "anyone" figures would incorporate nicely into the design and voila! A necklace to warm your heart!


Two little figures are huddling together under an umbrella....rain is pouring down, but they have all the sunshine they need in each other! YOU are my sunshine. I made a tag of the title that hangs down at the clasp.
